Busy, Busy Weekend - 2nd Half
Now to continue with Sunday.....
Everyone was up at a decent time, we made three batches of muffins for breakfast and got everyone ready of the day.
We wanted to get out of the house at 9am to go shopping in the Tri-Cities (we actually left at 9:30). Mom decided not to go, so it was Me, Sara, Tammie, and the three youngest (William, Shawn & Logan) heading out to the thrift stores.
First we hit Jo-Ann's Fabric store and Sara found some material that she wanted. Next was Value Village, which is were we spent most of our time. Everyone (moms & kids) found stuff to try on and stuff to buy! There was also a quick stop at St. Vincent de Pauls where the only good thing that was found was a great golf bag Tammie bought for Austen. Last shopping stop was at Goodwill and everyone found something there too, I got a great Gap jean jacket that I love!
At this time it was 1:20 and we were supposed to be at the Roller Skating Rink in Hermiston at 2pm. Everyone was hungry though so we made a quick stop at McDonalds and got everyone something to eat.
All this time while we were shopping my wonderful husband, Ernie, took Alex & Austen to play golf and than buy taco's at the taco truck (something Alex had never done and was very excited for). They all had a great time and we met up with them at our house around 2:15.
We ended up at the roller rink at 2:20, and William's best friend Grace was able to join us there. Mom also came to take pictures and watch (actually I think just to laugh at us). All the following braved skates and had a great time: Me & William, Sara, Alex & Logan, Tammie, Austen, Nathan & Shawn, along with Grace. Other then that there were only two other adults and three other kids. We had so much fun skating, falling, & laughing. We all participated in the Limbo, we had two winners: Sara won for the grownups (only because of my knee brace lol) and Logan won for the kids. She had the cutest method to limbo and I wish we had gotten it on video. I am including some pictures but between the movement and darkness most of the pictures didn't come out well.
After skating, everyone went back to there own places (Sara to mine!). The kids played a bit, we ate some dinner. Sara had made a great pasta salad (Sunday Morning during muffin making ) and carrot cake, plus there were leftovers from Friday & Saturday night.
We were all so tired from the weekend that we all headed to bed by about 9pm.
Monday morning came much to early, but I made it to work by just after 8am and the boys say that Sara and the kids made it out of the house by 9:30. They were supposed to head to "Monkey Doos" in Richland for Logan's mani/pedi, I hope that they had lots of fun with that.
