Sick for the first time, fieldtrip & baseball

Image
Poor William was pukey sick last night for the first time since he was a baby.  He was very stressed since he has never had his tummy feel this way.  I think he is feeling better today, but Daddy stayed home with him to recooperate.  Partly because he was up until about 10pm before he finally puked and felt better and could fall asleep. Before his stomach started to bother him he had a very busy day with a field trip at school and than a baseball game.  Here are some pictures from the day. The field trip involved walking to the high school to see the art displays and lunch in the park, than walked back to the elementary school.  All together it was about a 3 mile walk.                                              Starting Off Wait...

Easter Weekend, part 2

........We decided to take the max train down town, this was an adventure; from learning to use the ticket vending machine to having to get off the max because of road work (we took a shuttle to the next stop than got onto another max train).  Walking around downtown was fun and after a little help from a jewlry shop guy we ended up at a wings resturant (wanted a little snack & drink) for the last 15 minutes of the blazer playoff game (which was in Portland and explained why the max & downtown was so busy).  The walls of this resturant were covered with tv's and we had a great time watching the end of the game with everyone else in the resturant.  The Blazer's came back from being about 12 points down when we got there and they won the game. After that we walked back to Pioneer Square where there was lots of stuff going on and Ernie enjoyed jumping in and playing Hacky Sack with a few guys.  William thought it looked like great fun and I told him we would l...

Easter Weekend, part 1

What a great weekend!   We have been waiting for the weather to get better before taking William to Multnamoh Falls, which is what he wanted to do for his birthday.  This last weekend we knew Saturday would be the perfect day for it.  Ernie & I decided to make a weekend of it and stay the night in Portland with William.  We left Saturday morning between 7 & 8 am, which put us at the falls about 10:30 or so with stops.  This hike was crazy, 1 mile up the mountain with 11 switchbacks.  The climb was tough but worth it. From the top of the falls. On the way back down it was a little easier to think about taking pictures so here are a few of the falls when we were on the trail on the way down. The thing that made this hike so worth it was how thankful William was that we had brought him and done the hike with him.  He thanked us 3 or 4 times coming down the trail. After the hike we at lunch in the car and headed int...

This Weekend

Dakota came down for the weekend and we all had a great visit with him.  Ernie had the day off on Friday and I was very greatful to him for driving to Ellensburg (2.5 hours away) to pick up Dakota for me.  Friday night Dakota and I went by ourselves to dinner at one of the Mexican resturants in town to celebrate his 16th birthday (which was 3/28/11)!  It was fun with just the two of us and gave us a great chance to visit. Saturday morning Dakota did a great job cleaning out my Van while the rest of us worked in the yard getting the garden going for the year and moving the strawberry bed.  Now everytime I climb into my car I think of Dakota because it looks so great!  The afternoon was spent at my Mom & Dad's playing cards and hanging out.  Saturday night we watched "The Social Network", and while I liked the content of the movie and found it informational, I didn't like how it kept going back and forth in time.  That was confusing. Sunday w...

The Gym

Ok, I have joined the gym!!  Wish me luck, pray for me, what ever you can do to send positive thoughts my way.  I really need to lose some weight & get in shape, not only for my health, but also because I can't fit into any of my summer clothes and I am heading to Florida in June.  I will keep you posted on how it goes, I am going to the gym at lunch each day.  I will ad a before picture later.

Baseball Has Started

William had his first baseball game Tuesday night!  He did great, his whole team did great!  But it was so cold we were all frozen by the time it was over.  The wind was bitter cold, the wind chill must have been in the 40's.  Luckily this is just the coach pitch level so we only had 3 innings, William was so cold by the 3rd inning that he could hardly lift his legs to run.  He fell twice while running the bases.  My camera has died so no pictures yet, I will bring Mom's camera to the next game.

Busy, Busy Weekend - 2nd Half

Now to continue with Sunday..... Everyone was up at a decent time, we made three batches of muffins for breakfast and got everyone ready of the day. We wanted to get out of the house at 9am to go shopping in the Tri-Cities (we actually left at 9:30).  Mom decided not to go, so it was Me, Sara, Tammie, and the three youngest (William, Shawn & Logan) heading out to the thrift stores.  First we hit Jo-Ann's Fabric store and Sara found some material that she wanted.  Next was Value Village, which is were we spent most of our time.  Everyone (moms & kids) found stuff to try on and stuff to buy!  There was also a quick stop at St. Vincent de Pauls where the only good thing that was found was a great golf bag Tammie bought for Austen.  Last shopping stop was at Goodwill and everyone found something there too, I got a great Gap jean jacket that I love!  At this time it was 1:20 and we were supposed to be at the Roller Skating Rink in Hermiston ...
