One the 1st Saturday of each month The Home Depot hosts a kids workshop were they can build a project for free. We forgot to go in January but we remembered this month and William built a heart shaped shelf. He decided to give that shelf to Grace Gregory (classmate & "best friend" in 2nd grade class), it was very sweet.
William also is playing basket ball and every Saturday spends 1 1/2 hours between practicing and playing a game. He is enjoying it though says it is very hard to run up and down the court so much.
Ernie and I went on a Valentine's date this year. The Elks had a Valentine dinner & dance. We had a wonderful time. We danced the night away (all the way to midnight)!!! I don't think that we have gone dancing since the night we met 12 years ago, it was a great night. Though we paid for it in the next couple weeks, it sucks to have your body get old.
Then for Ernie's birthday and the long weekend we took a great trip to the Oregon coast over the long weekend with my parents trailer. We had a wonderful time. There were live crabs and oysters for dinner and walks on the beach. One night the sunset was unbelievable and on saturday William and Ernie were putting their feet in the water when William fell over and a wave soaked him. Needless to say for Feb on the coast, we were done at the beach and quickly brought him to the trailer and into a hot shower.
We were so lucky to not have rain for the weekend, the sun was out, the wind wasn't bad and we were able to have lots of fires in the pit to sit around. We walked around the cute little town of Manzanita, Oregon one afternoon and saw some great shops.
Then on Sunday we took a drive down to Tillamook. We went to the cheese factory and the air museum, both were lots of fun and very interesting.
There was also pinochle with my parents once or twice duing the month and we helped them work on the remodel of their master bedroom. As I said February was a very busy month.
